Sustaining a vibrant music scene in New England starts with YOU!
New England Musicians Relief Fund (NEMRF) was founded to provide financial relief for freelance musicians to weather the 2020 COVID-19 global pandemic. March 13, 2020 was the day New England went silent. Performing musicians were the first out of work when COVID-19 hit, and will be the last to return. Freelance musicians were left–overnight–with no income, no benefits, and for many, no qualified unemployment insurance, even under the emergency CARES Act. NEMRF is dedicated to fostering long-term security for professional musicians in New England by providing financial assistance and critical resources as a safety net for musicians experiencing unexpected or catastrophic income loss.
