Desiree Taylor
Taylor is an educator, writer, and crafter specializing in creating “safe educational spaces” with a focus on history. In these spaces folks learn through dynamic conversations and share their ideas, as diversity and respect are valued.
Taylor loves the idea that diversity is good and empowerment, love, and happiness are not only possible and attainable, but also necessary. Hearing and sharing our stories, and engaging with historical ones further this idea of possibility she believes. Her academic background is in education (M. Ed.) and in American studies (MA.) both from the University of Massachusetts Boston. These credentials give her license to engage these topics (diversity, empowerment, love, and happiness, etc.) with all seriousness while employing academic rigor.
