Merlo Philiossaint – visual artist
Merlo Philiossaint is a young professional artist living in Boston, MA. He received a Bachelors in Arts in Studio Art at Umass Boston and a graduate certificate in 3D Animation from Northeastern University. He grew up watching cartoons, reading comics and visiting art museums. All three of these factors greatly influenced his love of art. A lot of his artwork takes a less realistic approach as a tribute towards his admiration for cartoons. Also having been blessed to have friends from many different backgrounds his art is influenced by elements from various cultures. He strives to respectfully represent the cultures that have influenced him while putting a piece of his personality within each piece.
