Yvonne M. Williams
Yvonne Williams has been a maker all of her life, first inspired to create by her mother, who sewed most of her clothes growing up and gave Yvonne the idea to begin creating her fleece hats, one of her most popular products. Yvonne began her work as an artist just to make dresses for herself and then started making things for her children just as her mother had done for her. In addition to sewing, Yvonne is a skilled jewelry maker and previously worked at an interior design firm, which expanded her knowledge of sewing to home goods. Yvonne has actively sold her work at many community-based venues for over twenty years, including Juneteenth at the Museum of the National Center of Afro-American Artists, and Roxbury Open Studios.
