Promoting Your Photography Through Publication, Sept 22

September 22, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The 2016 Peter Urban Legacy Series Presents

Promoting your Photography through Publication: How photographers enhance their business and viewer base by writing books, articles and blogs.

Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 4:00-7:00pm

The Griffin Museum of Photography
67 Shore Rd, Winchester, MA 01890

Speakers: Neal Rantoul and David Bram

Photographic media differs from other two-dimensional disciplines as artwork that documents and represents a higher dimension of reality. Photographers are unique in their processes of production involving taking a snapshot, developing or digitally editing the image and then choosing a format for printing.

How can a viewer know what is really behind the finished product of a photograph based on the type of print and camera?

Writing is the solution. Photographers publish about their work and others by curating the content as they would an exhibit. In this workshop we will hear from two very different professionals in the photography field who share the passion of publication in order to keep modern photography relevant, enticing and distinct as a medium.

This event is free and open to the public. RSVP HERE.
