Amy Belinda Chin is a first-generation Chinese-American, born and raised in Boston, and currently resides in Dorchester. A self-taught maker, Amy is also an educator, single mother, and a collector of all sorts of things. Her craft is living art — inspired by Mother Nature’s gift of flora, Amy creates organic displays that combine live plants with hand-knotted macramé and thrifted and vintage found objects. Her creations meld the practices of found object assemblage and the fiber arts, all with a loving intention to honor each plant’s unique beauty.
