Bethany “Punkster” has been taking photos for as long as she can remember. She started her photography business, Punkster Photography, when she was 16 years old and has described it as being a wonderful learning and growing experience. She is a graduate of Emerson College (CO ‘19) with their very first Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography degree ever awarded. She has had the honor of photographing people from all walks of life in various locations; everyone from her childhood babysitter photographed at a neighborhood park to Grammy Award-winning musicians during her time in the photographers’ pit at Boston Calling. She has had the joy of running personal exhibitions as well as having her work featured by organizations such as Zumix and Lesley College. Her favorite personal passion under the photography umbrella is shooting on film (35mm and 120mm), as she loves the tangibility of it. She also loves teaching photography and bringing the light of the craft into the hearts of others who would like to grow their passion or just try it out as a fun hobby. The name “Punkster” came from the time she was given the nickname “Punky” by a teacher when she was a young, interestingly dressed student in a band many moons ago. Later, this title became a name she uses often in reference to herself. She is also a huge animal lover and a proud mom of a sweet, loveable canine fur baby and seven amazing cats. She views the journey of her life as having been extremely fulfilling to date, and she is looking forward to what the future has in store!
