Brooke Stewart
Brooke Stewart (b. 1994) received her MFA in 2018 from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. She earned her undergraduate degree in Art and Art History from the College of William and Mary. Currently she is a lecturer at Northeastern University’s College of Arts, Media and Design and Brandies University in the Department of Fine Arts. Prior, she was a Painting and Drawing Teaching Fellow from 2018 to 2019 at SMFA @ Tufts. She has recently shown work at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Contemporary Print in Austin, TX, the St. Louis Artist Guild in St Louis, Missouri, and at the North American Print Biannual at the Jewett Art Center at Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA. Stewart is part of a travelling collective, Pictures Stories III, shown at the Edinburgh College of Art, UK; The School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, USA; The University of Johannesburg/ Artists Proof Press, SA; Tokyo University of Arts (Geidai). Stewart is published in edition #41 and #42 of New American Paintings. She was selected by the Art Department at Wellesley College for the 2020-2021 Alice C. Cole ’42 Merit Grant in Studio Art.
