Jeannine Stein is a book and paper artist based in Lowell, Massachusetts. She’s been studying and creating book and paper arts for years, taking workshops from top instructors, developing original techniques, and teaching others how to make their own unique books.

She is the author of two books on book art: Re-Bound: Creating Handmade Books from Recycled and Repurposed Materials, and Adventures in Bookbinding: Handcrafting Mixed-Media Books, both from Quarry Books. She was the editorial director of Cloth Paper Scissors magazine, along with special interest publications Studios, Pages, and Artists & Makers. Her media career also includes being a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times and an acquisitions editor for The Quarto Group, working with artists, crafters, and graphic designers to develop their concepts and creativity into books. Jeannine’s book and paper art has been featured in group shows at the Fitchburg Art Museum, the Newburyport Art Association, the Sebastopol Center for the Arts, and the Art of the Book and Paper Show at the Rochester Public Library. Jeannine works from her studio at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell.
