Kate True is an artist and curator in Boston. She received a BA from Wesleyan University and an MFA from NYU. Kate’s art has been featured in galleries around the US and is in hundreds of private collections. A Cultural Council grant recipient for the exhibit “Little Women,” Kate has curated four shows in the Boston area. She was a principal organizer behind “Nasty Women Boston,” a resistance art exhibit at Laconia Gallery in September 2017, raising $20,000 for reproductive rights and social justice. Kate has been a longtime advocate for social justice and women’s and LGBTQ rights, and strives to use her art to further and fund these causes.
