Keyse Angelo – jewelry designer
Keyse Angelo moved to Boston with her family from Brazil when she was 6 years old. Shortly after arriving in Boston, a neighbor gave her some costume jewelry that she took apart and rearranged into new pieces using fishing wire and safety pins. During her Sophomore year at Umass Amherst, Keyse participated in her first craft fair which was a success. From there, Flauxy Jewelry was created and Keyse has not stopped making jewelry since. Flauxy Jewelry incorporates many styles to create beautiful pieces that utilizes new and vintage materials. In addition to making jewelry, Keyse is a licensed clinical social worker with a Master in Social Work from Boston College. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she majored in Women Studies.
