Culinary Artist

Nadine Nelson is a multidisciplinary artist and James Beard-celebrated chef who uses food as a medium for cultural storytelling, community transformation, and economic revitalization. A Tufts University graduate, she creates immersive culinary experiences through Global Local Gourmet, partnering with cultural institutions, tourism boards, and major brands on experiential marketing campaigns and programming.

Nadine’s artistic practice spans placekeeping, food writing, event production, and social activism. Through initiatives like Kitchen Oasis, an online cooking and art social club, she fosters connection and creativity. Collaborating with organizations such as Harvard University, the Trustees of the Reservation, and Boston Main Streets, she transforms traditional cooking education into engaging artistic experiences.

Currently, Nadine is developing an experiential culinary center integrating food, art, and commerce to address community needs. Her work celebrates diverse foodways while building sustainable fellowship through community care.
