Colgan B. Johnson – photographer, musician, actor
Colgan B. Johnson was born and raised in Dorchester, MA. After graduating from Amherst College with a B.A. in Classics in 2003, he returned to Boston to teach in the Boston Public Schools for about ten years on and off while trying to find out what really sparked his interest along with education and helping others. Fast forward life, trying to start a music company, producing a couple hip hop CDs, hosting a karaoke night, some film and stage acting, and a bunch of creative collaborative jobs, he’s found himself in love with photography and cinematography. He’s currently working at a local charter school. When he is not teaching or engaged in the exchange of ideas, Colgan is heavily involved in making 1981andCo a success. If he’s not taking pictures, he’s probably reading, writing, or filming this beautiful and interesting place we call Earth.
