Judsine Blaisdell (she/her)
Arts Administration Intern
Judsine Blaisdell is an afro-latinx woman, born and raised in Boston. Growing up she always had a passion for art, digital media, and social activism. She is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where she is studying Non-profit Arts Management and Social Justice, an individualized degree program that allows her to handpick classes such as “grassroots community organizing” and “nonprofit arts management” to best suit her individual goals and interests. By choosing to curate her own degree program, she has not only been able to expedite the growth of the tools in her arsenal, but also preserve her ideas for future change. At the end of this semester, she will be a first-generation college graduate. She is still fairly new to the art space as well as the non-profit sector, but she is looking forward to learning more and developing as a professional post-graduation. When not at school, she is painting or playing video games.
Emma Maia Dinnerstein (she/her)
Legal Intern
Emma is a second-year law student at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. While originally from South Florida, Emma’s journey to New England started when she attended Clark University in Worcester, MA, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Art History. Emma’s pursuit of law comes from her experience growing up as a low-income, first-generation individual. Having access to the proper legal resources was something she saw those in her community consistently struggle to receive and that inspired her current path. Emma became interested in working with VLA due to its blend of advocacy and art in such a way that uplifts and supports its wonderful community. While at RWU, Emma works at the Law Library and serves as a second-year member of the Moot Court Board as well as the President of the Women’s Law Society.
