Available Grants from Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation
Our partners at Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation have two new grant programs available to help small businesses continue to recover from the pandemic. While not all of the artists and arts organizations we work with will be eligible for these funds, we encourage you to read on and find out if you qualify!

Grant assistance to support small businesses that have not previously received financial relief from MGCC’s COVID-19 Relief Grant Programs. Grant awards range from $10,000 to $75,000 (equal to 3 months of operating expenses).
These funds can be used on payroll, mortgage/rent, utilities, interest on debt obligations incurred after 03/03/2021, and business costs related to the pandemic.
Funds cannot be used for expenses that have been or will be covered by any other source of funding such as PPP, EIDL, Unemployment, Insurance claims/proceeds, FEMA funds, other Federal/State/local funding, other nonprofit/private sectors/charitable funding, etc.
To qualify, the business must
- NOT have previously received financial relief from MGCC’s prior COVID-19 Relief Grant Programs.
- Have been negatively affected by COVID-19.
- Be a for-profit entity (sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, cooperative, or LLC). Nonprofits are not eligible.
- Currently have between 2-50 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees, one of which is the owner.
- Have revenues between $40,000 to $2,500,000 in 2020.
- Have been established prior to 09/30/2020.
- Be based in Massachusetts.

Grant awards ranging from $10,000 to $75,000 (equal to 3 months of operating expenses) are available to businesses that focus on reaching markets predominantly made up of socially and economically disadvantaged and historically underrepresented groups, underserved markets, and those owned by minorities, women, veterans, disabled individuals, or those that identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community.
These funds can be used on payroll, mortgage/rent, utilities, interest on debt obligations incurred after 03/03/2021, and business costs related to the pandemic.
Funds cannot be used for expenses that have been or will be covered by any other source of funding such as PPP, EIDL, Unemployment, Insurance claims/proceeds, FEMA funds, other Federal/State/local funding, other nonprofit/private sectors/charitable funding, etc.

- Meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
- Minority-owned
- Woman-owned
- Veteran-owned
- Disability-owned
- LGBTQ+-owned
- Focus on reaching markets predominantly made up of socially and economically disadvantaged and historically underrepresented groups or underserved markets
- Have been negatively affected by COVID-19.
